The ability to use the limbs synchronously, independently and often both (!) is essential for the rider in both isometric and continuous muscle action but also to transmit forces and tolerate landing (upon jumps or spooks)

Whether you are a Dressage rider, a jump rider or a leisure rider you are going to need to develop capacity (i.e. endurance), symmetry (i.e be equal to the point it doesn’t initiate pain or affect performance) and robustness (i.e. improve function and mechanics to offset injury).
From coaching 100’s of riders and actively researching myself i notice the posterior chain of many riders ( the muscles of the back, glutes, hamstrings and calves) are underdeveloped. This often leads to collapsed hips, gripping with the knees, collapsing in the waist and back pain.
The Strong Stable Legs Challenge aims to kick start your equestrian fitness.
This training plan is designed to get you equipped with a strong, functional lower body so you can become a robust rider enhancing your performance and mitigating risk of injury.
To make sure this is a well rounded challenge the programme will also include total body strength sessions and additional mobility. Additional conditioning (e.g. running, swimming) can be integrated within the plan.

The big day may have come and gone, but keep in touch as we’re always up to something new and exciting.
You want to be fit, you might even know what to do but you need something a little ‘extra’ to keep you going. A short bang for your buck, fun challenge to get your teeth into something with an end date.
Workout with your equine friends watching or from home, this equipment free challenge will give you the kickstart you need. Want to make it more challenging by adding equipment? No problem that can be supported.
We will deliver your programme to you via the EventFit app where you can message me or other challengers for accountability and support. This is a fun and accountable way to get in the saddle.

No after the 4 weeks the app and programme will be deactivated unless you choose to join the RSA, 1:1 programming in which case you get the challenges for FREE!!
The challenges are designed to be fun, supportive and inclusive. They will be suitable for beginners and will include both mindset, habits within the training programme. I can give you progressions and more of a push if you need it!
Once you sign up you will have access to the EventFit app, welcome! Please make sure to get to know your way around! In late April I will start posting welcome information in the app. The programme will start on the 1st May and run for 4 weeks. After the programme your app access will automatically deactivate, unless you choice to join the Ride Strong Academy, join another challenge or sign up to 1:1 training with EventFit.
